In 2023, Mason Music Foundation officially opened the Woodlawn Mason Music Studio at 5503 1st Avenue North, which also serves as the headquarters for the Mason Music Foundation.
The new space allows us to better serve families and expand our reach, with six classrooms outfitted with brand-new music equipment and a safe, welcoming, and comfortable space for students to interact with teachers and their peers.
We also share this building with the new Woodlawn Theatre, a 250-seat live music venue and synergistic partner for the Foundation that can now host our performances and special events. It also hosts concerts by touring musical acts, community events such as neighborhood movie nights and local musician showcases, fundraisers, corporate functions, and weddings, generating additional economic activity in the neighborhood.
